In this second installment of GovInsider’s infographic series, “My Urban Challenge” presented with Dassault Systèmes, we take a look at the challenges of three cities in Southeast Asia: Jakarta, Mandalay, and Penang.

Jakarta’s smart city officer, Setiaji, aims to create a safer city with a more efficient traffic system for Jakarta’s ever-growing traffic congestion problem. In Mandalay, Smart City Officer Ye Myat Thu goes digital with IoT devices for a more accurate portrait of his city’s networks. Lastly, Mayor Yew Tung Seang of Penang juggles between making Penang a booming tourism hub and keeping it Malaysia’s most sustainable city.
