The world-renowned Karolinska Institutet is Sweden’s single largest center of medical academic research. Today more than ever their researchers need to work efficiently, share and protect their knowledge and adhere to Good Scientific Practices.
In this podcast I am talking to Dr. Cecilia Martinsson Björkdahl, Project Manager at the Research Data Office and Nikolaos Volakakis, Research Documentation Coordinator about their implementation of the Electronic Lab Notebook (BIOVIA Notebook). We discussed the reasons why they started the implementation eleven years ago, how they are using the system today and where they are seeing the benefits for the researches as well as for the university overall. We also talked about their insights about changing regulations and increasing pressure regarding publications and how this might change the way researchers are working in the future.
