BIOVIA partners with TetraScience

BIOVIA & TetraScience partner to deliver a seamless experience with ONE Lab.

Instrument integration in the laboratory

Science-based organizations require digital transformation in their laboratories to grow their businesses and bring products to the market as quickly as possible.

Guided by our cooperative business practices, BIOVIA is collaborating with TetraScience, a Boston-based R&D Data Cloud provider, as a new addition to our partner network to extend the data acquisition of Dassault Systèmes’ “Digital twin of the lab”.

TetraScience’s Tetra Data Platform includes a library of productionized instrument connectors that speed deployment of lab informatics environments such as Dassault Systèmes’ ONE Lab for a faster time to value for customers.

Digital Continuity with ONE Lab

ONE Lab allows research, development, analytical and QA/QC laboratories to remove paper processes and better support end-to-end laboratory workflows with digital methods and processes. This includes workflows across the full R&D development cycle: from research screening, product efficacy and safety testing to production process optimization and routine QC testing. Within unified, harmonized and standardized laboratory/resource management and procedure execution, ONE Lab helps science-based organizations achieve their business goals by improving collaborative innovation, increasing productivity, reducing regulatory compliance/safety risk and accelerating time to market.

ONE Lab also harnesses the power of common software environments to manage all aspects of today’s laboratories including lab planning/management, lab resource/inventory management, recipe and method management, procedure execution, reporting and data science in the lab.

Harnessing R&D Data and Developing the Virtual world of the lab

Through the Tetra Partner Network, we combine ONE Lab with TetraScience’s instrument connection capabilities to help the life sciences industry eliminate manual steps in the data acquisition process and create data liquidity. Through this partnership, the scientific data of research and development from numerous lab instruments is engineered and directed to ONE Lab for processing and analytics.

Based on this, the life sciences industry will be able to better understand and analyze their laboratory processes and reduce the number of experiments and costs, enhancing time to market.

Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform brings the reality of V+R (Virtual and Real) to life, In the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, digital models combine two dimensions: the Virtual, in the form of an abstract model of a given object (based on the scientific and mathematical laws of nature); and the Real, derived from all data associated with the object (from all possible sources including lab instruments, the Internet of Things, the cloud, the enterprise, etc.). The value of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform lies in blending model-based creative thinking with data-driven knowledge.

Having this connection in place between the lab process in ONE Lab (The “V“ of the virtual world) and the world of the instruments (The “R” of the real world), is the first step toward a virtually connected lab where science-based organizations will be able to model and simulate experiments prior to moving them to the lab.

“Achieving a more sustainable future is only possible by leveraging the virtual world. Building on the past and pointing to the future, the virtual twin is a real scientific and industrial asset as well an asset for the wider community… Generally speaking, in life there are no rehearsals. But in the virtual world, we can simulate and evaluate impacts before making the product itself.”

– Bernard Charlès, chief executive office of Dassault Systèmes.
