Sunnyville Airport needs a hero

beautifulday

It’s another beautiful day here at Sunnyville Airport. I wave to some co-workers at the check-in desks and security checkpoint as I make my way to the office.

Being a planner at Sunnyville Airport is really rewarding. The airport runs like clockwork. Passengers are relaxed as they go through the procedures with plenty of time to spare. Airport officers happily go about their work. It’s great knowing that everything is in order, and that support is always available when issues arise.

As I sit down at my desk and begin to read the newspaper, I hear the alarm go off. I jump up from my seat just in time to see Tina, the airport manager, appear at the door. “Nick! We need to get out now!” she yells before disappearing.

The alarm grows louder and louder, and the ground starts to shake. I turn around, and suddenly I am falling. “Ahhh!”

I wake up with a start when my body hits the floor. My bedroom floor. Groaning a little, I reach over to turn off my alarm clock. And that’s when reality sets in… A frustrating reality.

You see, the truth is, Sunnyville Airport hasn’t been a well-managed place for many years. Unlike my dream, you are likely to see more unhappy faces than happy ones at the airport – both the passengers and the employees.

It’s bleak at Sunnyville.

Long queues never seem to get cleared quickly enough. There are never enough open counters to serve the passengers. Duty free stores are empty most of the time. Demotivated employees no longer believe in giving their best.

And the worst part? Profits are down. While reading the newspaper, it becomes clear that Sunnyville Airport needs help – and fast. Financially, it just can’t cope anymore.

I can’t just sit here feeling helpless. There must something I can do.

We recently implemented an advanced airport planning system that will improve the efficiency of our staff rostering. As a planner, now equipped with the right planning system, I might just be able to save Sunnyville and boost its efficiency.

Let’s do it together. #SaveSunnyville
