Assigning a constant record selection method in GEMS

Help streamline your workflow by adjusting the GEOVIA GEMS™ settings to use the same record selection option every time when opening data in the project view area. 

When opening point, line, or triangulation data in from a workspace, by default the ‘Open Workspace’ dialog will appear allowing the user to select which records to open before clicking Open to continue. However, many users usually choose the same option, typically Specific records (detailed), making this step redundant.

To define a default method, go to Options > Set Options then open the Preferences tab.  Under the section titled Workspace you can check the box next to ‘When opening workspace form the project view always use:’ then select the option that best fits your needs.
