How to Edit Plan or Section in GEOVIA Minex without Changing Data

Today’s tip will be about editing a plan or section in GEOVIA Minex without making any changes to your data.Using the Picture Edit toolbar function, you can edit visual graphical properties of all parts of a Minex plan or section.

These tools will only modify the visual display of lines, text, and areas in 2D plan and section graphics. Any editing will not modify the underlying Minex data. After you have made the changes, you can save the display as DXF or DWG. Picture edit tools are in a single tool bar as shown below.

To edit any objects, you may follow the below steps:

  1. Draft plan or section in 2D window.
  2. Right click in toolbar area and select Picture Edit
  3. Alternatively all the picture edit tools are available by selecting Mounts > Picture edit menu
  4. Turn the Picture Edit Mode on in the Picture Edit toolbar

     

  5. To select an object, use select object tool and follow the prompt
  6. To change all the objects in an area, you may use the select area tool. The Polygon and rectangular selection inside/outside options are available to select the objects
  7. Follow prompts to delete, move, and copy the object
  8. To change color or any other attribute of a single object, select using select tool and in properties, change the attribute. You can change the properties of the text such as angle font size and color.
  9. Save the changes by selecting Graphic > Graphic Capture and save it as DWG, DXF, PDF or image formats.
