GEOVIA INNOVATION WEBINAR SERIES 2019

Learn from GEOVIA Experts as they introduce and discuss key mining solutions and topics that matter to Mining Businesses, whether they are looking at overhauling mining processes or simply digitizing existing ones.

Each webinar will be live and take about 30 to 40 minutes plus Q&A – and offered in two sessions to cover most of our global time zones. Don´t miss this opportunity to benefit from a wealth of experience in diverse domains.

We invite you to join us in our 2019 webinars or to watch recordings after they have been held.

Webinar #1: Driving digital transformation across the mining value chain with the 3DEXPERIENCE Mine

Mining companies have multiple data systems with a wealth of records to draw on within various departments or sites. This often yields a silo effect – reducing productivity, accuracy, profitability and cross-team communication.

In order to streamline processes and drive collaboration to produce baseline: goals, key performance indicators and best practices for excellence throughout businesses, the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform connects all project information and stakeholders across the extended enterprise with a zero distance approach.

In this webinar, we will:

  • Introduce the concept and power of the 3DEXPERIENCE Mine
  • Demonstrate how to effectively use collaboration tools on a social and enterprise level
  • Follow a workflow example of a geological model update
  • Show in practice how stakeholders can enable digital transformation across the mining value chain

Audience: All mining stakeholders

Presenters: Andy Mulholland, Tania Killeen and Shawn Ready

Date: This Webinar took place on April 4th & 5th 2019

Webinar #2: CMS Survey pick-up and union – a need for speed!

Stitching together multiple stopes is usually done manually and can be a very slow process. Surpac 2019 introduces a new Macro for solids conditioning that will give you back hours of processing per stope!

In this webinar we will demonstrate:

  • An easier way to process CMS Cavity Monitoring Surveys in Surpac
  • How the use of mesh tools can eliminate the need for slicing CMS’s
  • How multiple CMS’s can be merged easily to create a final void solid
  • How the conditioning of CMS’s allows ease of editing on the final shape

Audience: Underground Surveyors and Mining Engineers

Presenter: Ash Colton

Date: June 27th

Webinar #3: Open Pit Grade Boundary Analysis using Stope Shape Optimizer

While stope optimizer has been used primarily in underground environments, we will show how it can also be used for open pit mines.

In this webinar we will:

  • Present a study using the stope optimizer in an open pit environment.
  • Investigate grade cut offs sensitivities, edge dilution and reconciliation against reserve model tonnes and grade.

Audience: Open pit Geologist and Mining Engineers.

Presenter: Linda Bateman

Date: September 12th

Webinar #4: Maximizing the Value of your Stopes

Maximizing your stope value is possible thanks to a new solution that uses a simulation tool in the in conjunction with Surpac.

In this webinar we will:

  • Demonstrate the interaction of Surpac and the Process Composer tool within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
  • Demonstrate how to optimize your cut off grade
  • Run the process multiple times in just a few minutes to generate the best value result available

Audience: Underground Mining Engineers

Presenter: Suvradip DATTA

Date: November 14th
