Getting Started with Inspect and Correct in InSite

The latest release of GEOVIA InSite™ includes a great new Inspect and Correct feature, which allows users to update information which may have been entered incorrectly. It is very useful for production clerks to quickly view, analyze, and edit production shift data. Inspect and Correct views are configurable and can be designed to suit each site’s daily production review and correction process.

A great thing about this feature is that users can set up views for specific activities, which will capture and display both the events and details for their selected configuration.  Here are the steps to get started using the Inspect and Correct feature.

  1. To create a new view, click on ‘+’ New View and add the view name. Tip: Make sure to create views with a meaningful name where you will group the measures you need to view, analyze, and edit.
  2. Set up your measures at Measures Tab, on the right hand side of the screen, and select the site, activity, and measure point measures for your saved view. Note: The measure point measures selected on this tab are a data source for the Details grid and Summary grid.

  3. Setup the Summary Tab to configure the Summary Grid. Fields displayed in the Summary grid are automatically included in the Details grid. Tip: Drag fields from the Pivot Properties list into the four panes to create the Summary grid.

  4. Use the Details Tab to configure the fields that are available to include in the Details grid. Tip: Format each field so that when displayed in the Details grid, it has a different name to the default field name.

  5. After selecting the fields, select a Date that contains data and press Load Sample Data to preview the result. Tip: Use the Access Tab to grant selected users, roles, and sites access to the saved view.
  6. Click on Save Changes to save your new view.
