How to Obtain a GEOVIA MineSched Local License

The self-service licensing feature is now available for GEOVIA MineSched. Self-service licensing permits you to download license from the GEOVIA support website. To use self-service licensing, you need a GEOVIA dongle and a DS Passport account.

If you do not have a DS Passport account, you can create one by contacting your local GEOVIA office or by emailing GEOVIA.Support@3ds.com.

Please note if you are launching MineSched for the first time you will see a Scenario Selection window pop up. You may click Cancel to bypass this pop up.

  1. You may go to Scenario > Licensing and follow the steps in the below screenshot:
  2. A Request Local License box pops up. Click the Web button below to request the license file.
  3. Your web browser will open the GEOVIA License Download site login page. In the web browser enter your DS Passport username and password and click “Log in”.
  4. On the next page you will see a message “License Creation Success”. Your licence file will be emailed to your inbox.
  5. The licence file will be emailed as an attached zip file with the .LICZ file extension containing your license, and a PDF listing your license configuration. The .LICZ file can be opened with Winzip or renamed to .ZIP and extracted with any archiving tool.
  6. Save the license file ‘license.dat to the any folder on your local computer. Launch GEOVIA MineSched, select Scenario > Licensing > MineSched Licensing window (if not already open). Select Local and click OK. The Update Licence Token form is displayed, pre-filled with the token number, click Validate and Apply
