Ramp Design with GEMS 6.6

Yesterday, we released the latest version of GEOVIA GEMS™ which introduced a range of new tools designed specifically to help Underground Mine Planners.

One of the most exciting features included in the release is the new Ramp Design tool in the TunnelDesign Module. Vastly improving the current ramp design process, it eliminates many small repetitive tasks currently associated with the design process and rolls them into one easy step. The tool also makes it much easier to start designs quickly by including ready-to-use preconfigured templates of the most widely used ramp styles. These templates can be customised and reused saving hours of design work. Another key highlight is the ability to make changes throughout the design process, which prevents the need to start again when changes are necessary. 

We are very excited about what these new tools bring to Mine Planners and our underground users. With time saving functionality and improved workflow development, we are sure GEMS 6.6 will prove an invaluable asset for any underground engineering department.
