Understanding Block Model Manipulation on Attributes

It’s Tip Tuesday! Today we take a quick look into block modelling with GEOVIA GEMS™

When performing simple manipulation on a block model in GEMS, it is not always necessary to code an entire model as a variable. Instead, target the block properties such as level, column and row as a variable.

The example, below, illustrates block model manipulation that is only performed on level 1 of the block model.

The rocktype model code of 300 would be assigned to any block found on level 1. From there, target a specific Row, Column or Level and add a function that can further detail a selection. To target a column or a row, make n= Column or n= Row.
