Ever wonder what are the world’s largest gold mines?
Recently, we came across a ranking of the world’s largest gold mines. It’s an interesting list as some of these mines have been in operation for many years. Topping the list is Grasberg Gold Open Pit Mine in Papau, Indonesia with annual production of 2,025,000 ounces. Nevada proves to be a prominent location for gold mining as three mines in that state made the list: The Cortez Gold Mine, Carlin-Nevada Complex and Goldstrick Gold Mine.
