Pune, India — June 28, 2022 — La Fondation Dassault Systèmes in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Govt. of India, will host the award ceremony for the second edition of Made in 3D – Seed The Future Entrepreneurs, tomorrow, from 9 am onwards at their Pune campus. Made in 3D – Seed The Future Entrepreneurs is a dedicated programme by La Fondation Dassault Systèmes to inspire school students to become future innovators and entrepreneurs. Made in 3D program was originally conceptualized in France by La main à la pâte Foundation and La Fondation Dassault Systèmes together in the year 2017.
The India edition of the Made in 3D – Seed the Future Entrepreneurs programme began in 2020 with 10 schools in Pune, Maharashtra, and was expanded to 50 schools from 29 states for the second edition with Atal Innovation Mission. To promote inclusivity, the schools chosen are distributed across India, with an adequate mix from major cities, rural areas, Border States and aspirational districts. It truly reflects the spirit of India representing diversity and inclusivity. In this yearlong program, 300 school students aged 12 to 17 organized in 50 pseudo start-ups developed their dream products with the help of 200 teachers and 70 volunteers.
In the finale, spanning over two sessions on 27th June and 29th June, 20 pseudo start-ups comprising of 120 students and 40 teachers introduce their dream products in front of jury members, industry leaders, and the audience. At the award ceremony, the results will be announced in the virtual presence of Dr Chintan Vaishnav – Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission.
“In line with the Government of India’s vision to create and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the country, Made in 3D – Seed the Future Entrepreneurs is an initiative led by La Fondation Dassault Systèmes, to provide school children with an inventive mindset through activities-based learning, exploration, and challenges,” said Hemant Gadgil, Executive Director of La Fondation Dassault Systèmes, India. “This year, for the second edition, we collaborated with the Atal Innovation Mission to promote the spirit of innovation. Congratulations to all the participants for creating innovative products with market potential.”
The students conceptualised, designed, and manufactured their dream product, as well as created a marketing campaign and launched it at the program’s conclusion. They created physical products using cutting-edge collaboration tools, specialised 3D design software, and 3D printing technology. Each team operated as a start-up, with the students in charge of the entire process, from initial design to marketing their “product” through promotional videos, mailers, and communication campaigns.
