Next week is our 3DEXCITE Live! event in Los Angeles on Sept. 1-2. This year’s event will highlight the latest in high-end 3D visualization software, solutions and CGI services, and how these technologies are revolutionizing everything from Hollywood movies to footwear.
Oh and one more thing. The guy who designed this:
That’s right, Syd Mead who designed the famous “light cycle” as seen in the movie Tron and most recently as ridden by Taylor Swift in her Bad Blood video will be talking at the event. Mead, whose designs have appeared in blockbusters such as Blade Runner and Aliens as well as Tron, will give us a glimpse into what types of tech the future might hold. In addition, the event will include presentations on everything from the cars of the future to “Creative Collaborative Consumerism.”
There will be seven keynote speakers at the event addressing a variety of industries, including automotive, transportation, aerospace, lifestyle and high tech. Chris Hillyer of Deckers Brands will kick-off the event by presenting “Changing the Sole of Shoe Design,” which will cover how 3D shoe design is helping Deckers change the way they design their products (Deckers is the company that make Uggs and Teva footwear among other brands).
In addition to our keynote speakers, entertainment will be provided by Diego Valle and Jeremy Ellis, and teams from a variety of customers and partners will be showcasing their latest 3D visualization technologies, including Cadillac, Intel, NVIDIA, and BlueWater Technologies.
