Our annual 3DEXPERIENCE FORUM kicked off today in Las Vegas featuring a powerful line-up of customers, thought-leaders, industry experts and Dassault Systèmes executives. Dean Marsh, our managing director for North America, spoke of the 21st century Industry Renaissance and how digital technology is the catalyst and enabler of this Renaissance, just as the printing press was before. In today’s Renaissance, the virtual world extends and improves the real world allowing business to be reimagined; to simulate and evaluate impacts before producing the product itself, and opening astounding possibilities.
“There is an inspirational quote, ‘Imagine what you would attempt if you know you couldn’t fail.’ That is the kind of freedom the virtual world provides,” Marsh said. He highlighted the new breed of electric vehicle manufacturers leveraging the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to fuel innovation with an incredibly wide range of business models and approaches including Canoo, who is pioneering a subscription car model, Zoox that will be deploying driverless pods, Rivian, making an electric pick-up truck, Rimac, making a high -speed sports car and Tesla which continues to push the envelope.
