On November 16, customers, media and thought leaders from a diverse range of industries gathered for Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Forum 2015, held in Boston. Businesses from the aerospace & defense, industrial equipment, life sciences, and transportation & mobility sectors had representatives in attendance, with senior executives from each sector sharing insights into how today’s industry-leaders are growing by creating captivating experiences for their customers. Additive manufacturing, Big Data, and the Internet of Things were the three prominent topics covered throughout this year’s 3DEXPERIENCE Forum Boston event.
The plenary session started off with welcome remarks from Scott Berkey, Managing Director of Dassault Systèmes’ North America and CEO of SIMULIA, and Monica Menghini, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, who spoke about a new “Framework for Innovation.” The audience was then introduced to experts from various fields, which included keynote speakers Matt Chapman from Microsoft, Enchanted Objects author David Rose, and Crowd Companies founder Jeremiah Owyang. The event also hosted a panel discussion on disruptive technologies, hosted by Jeremiah Owyang, which featured panelists from both business and academia, including the National Institute for Aviation Research, Stony Brook University, and Parkeon. After the panel discussion, the torch was then passed to Dassault President & CEO Bernard Charlès who passionately encouraged the audience to rethink enterprise in terms of the new “experience” economy.
Following the general session, guests were invited to the 3DEXPERIENCE Playground, where they have the opportunity to personally interact and network with thought leaders from various industries, which included companies such as Solar Impulse, Accenture, GE, Adlib Software, Merck, Johnson Controls Inc., and Processia Solutions.
