On August 16, people around the world will celebrate World Helicopter Day. It’s an exciting day for helicopter-enthusiasts everywhere, including here at Dassault Systèmes.
This unique international holiday has its own website, which explains that the day is to “raise awareness of the contributions that helicopters make to our society and celebrate the diverse range of people that design, fly and support them.”
It estimates that there are 56,200 helicopters worldwide and that the industry provides employment for over 300,000 people.
It’s an important industry that we’re excited to be a part of. This past June, we announced that Airbus Helicopters had selected our “Build to Operate” industry solution experience to help make their manufacturing operations management more efficient and profitable. We also have worked with Bell Helicopter, who uses ENOVIA to improve collaboration and improve the time it takes to bring a new product to market.
