May 3, 2016 – Automation World: The Digital Factory of the Future Has Arrived
At the Hannover Messe event in Germany at the end of April, Dassault Systèmes emerged as a leader in the digitization of engineering conventions. The agricultural equipment manufacturer CLAAS used the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in order to build a high-tech, energy efficient tractor at a reduced cost. The technology is ushering in a new age of synchronizing all aspects of product development.
May 13, 2016 – Desktop Engineering: The Solar Impulse 2 Aircraft Continues to Make History
The Solar Impulse 2 is a marvel in the realm of aviation engineering, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Designers Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg used Dassault Systèmes’ virtual technology to create an aircraft with a wingspan of 72 meters that weighs about the same as a mid-range SUV. Of the technology, Borschberg raved, “The first aircraft was a flying laboratory. Flying day and night had never been done before, and we learned so much.”
May 18, 2016 – Pharmaceutical Online: Exploring Collaboration with Third Parties and the Impact on Document Management
Ken Hayward, the Chief Technology Officer at BIOVIA, delves into the benefits of eliminating the practice of document collaboration in exchange for a hybrid cloud approach.
