Dassault Systèmes’ Sara Larsen Named One of 2016’s Women of the Channel

We are proud to announce that Dassault  VP of North America Marketing, Sara Larsen, has been named one of CRN’s “2016 Women of the Channel,” a recognition given to female sales and marketing leaders for their commitment to growing vendor-channel partnerships, and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry overall. This is the 3rd year in a row a Dassault Systèmes’ executive has been included in the annual feature.

3c89452Larsen joined Dassault Systèmes in 2013, having previously served as VP of Digital Marketing at SAP. Since joining Dassault Systèmes, she has revamped the company’s channel sales and marketing organization in accordance to today’s digital and socially-connected age.

“One of my top priorities is to maximize our channel success by ensuring my team is focused on the buyer’s journey and supporting how customers buy today,” said Larsen. “We’re educating our teams on the value of social selling, online and content marketing, and ensuring our partners have the content and support they need at all levels of the sales pipeline to have meaningful online exchanges with their customers.”

With many successes this past year, Larsen is already ambitiously committed to expanding the 3DEXPERIENCE business innovation platform across multiple industries, specifically the Life Sciences, Energy Process & Utilities, and High Tech sectors. Seeing enormous potential in the recent advancements of new composite materials and large-scale additive manufacturing techniques, Larsen has since mobilized her team to work on growing the adoption of solutions for simulation, design, and manufacturing for all new and existing customers.

“Targeted growth is our top priority for 2016,” said Larsen.

Outside of her marketing work, Larsen is also a leading member of Dassault Systèmes’ Women’s Initiative (WIN Group), which is a cross-functional, multigenerational community of women who collaborate to encourage, support and inspire each other to thrive within the company and grow professionally.

When asked what advice she would give to young women aspiring to succeed in the workplace, Larsen stressed the importance of setting goals and advocating for oneself, in addition to being an active participant in the workplace.

“Early in my career, I made a point to observe the qualities of successful professional around me – women and men- and absorbed the learnings. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and be inquisitive.  I’ve found most people are generous with their time and knowledge – if you ask,” advised Larsen.

We are proud to see Sara recognized for her dedication to her work and the company. Just as we celebrated the achievements of women on International Women’s Day back in March, we plan to continue honoring other the hardworking women of Dassault Systèmes.
