This week Dassault Systèmes announced it is partnering with the Technological University of Aguascalientes and the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research to create a PLM Competency Center (PLMCC) in Mexico. This partnership will bring the latest software and up-to-date practices to Mexico’s future engineers.
PLMCCs are centers created to train students of all levels to use Dassault Systemes’ PLM tools and 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Course materials taught at these institutes include 3D CAD, CAM, simulation and virtual production processes. Students can take their training and apply it to a wide range of professional fields, including aeronautics, automotive, consumer goods and manufacturing.
In Mexico, the PLMCC will serve institutions of higher or vocational learning across the country.
“By implementing the PLMCC, we are going beyond increasing the employability of our students and arming them with the most competitive competencies to transform industry,” said Dr. Jorge A. Llamas Esparza, Rector, TUA. “By modernizing our own educational competences, we can maximize the impact of the center.”
The implementation of the PLMCC has already revolutionized the education of students around the globe, including in India, Brazil, China and Vietnam.
