Join Dassault Systemes for 3DEXPERIENCE: A Virtual Journey Episode 3 launching on September 23rd with a focus on case studies, key trends and the future outlook for Modeling & Simulation and Additive Manufacturing technologies. Dassault Systèmes new, online event series features presentations from industry thought-leaders and technology experts that can help companies drive growth, innovation and the next generation of products – especially during disruptive times.
In two conference tracks, Episode 3 covers the world of Modeling and Simulation and how it has evolved over the years to become a critical and strategic component of the design transformation process, and how Additive Manufacturing is disrupting traditional manufacturing process and shifting how industries think.
Featured across both conference tracks are speakers from Joby Aviation, a California-based pioneer in developing Electric Virtual Take-off and Landing vehicles (eVTOL), or air taxis. With transportation systems in many cities at the breaking point due to population growth, urbanization, and underfunded infrastructure – leading to overly conjested roads, longer commute times and lower quality of life – alternative modes of transport such as air taxis may be closer than we think.
Listen to Joby Aviation in the following sessions:
The Necessity of a Universal Recipe Format for Certification of Metal AM for Aerospace features Sean McCluskey, Additive Manufacturing Lead, Design Optimization/Special Projects, Joby Aviation. McCluskey will talk about additive manfacturing – particularly for metal parts, and how AM is critical to the company’s vertically-integrated manufacturing organization. In order to develop a production system that can be fully certified for aerospace production, a clear data flow and auditable hierarchy are musts. McCluskey will detail how Joby Aviation uses custom end-point software in conjunction with Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE DELMIA and SIMULIA solutions to create a robust workflow with only a single, immutable data file for certification of metal additive manufacturing components.
