That’s a wrap on Day One of the North American 3DEXPERIENCE FORUM in sunny Hollywood, FL! After kicking things off with a rousing welcome to our assembled guests, our new North America Managing Director Dean Marsh welcomed Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer Monica Menghini to the stage to discuss the three myths about platforms that we need to shatter, one being that platforms are simply a means of automating existing business processes. Business platforms are becoming an aspect of almost all businesses (Monica says 75% of companies are investigating or experimenting with digitalization), and Dassault Systèmes will continue to lead our customers into new ways of doing business.

Next up was Olivier Ribet, VP of Industry, who presented “Creating the Connected Experience: Innovation through Software.” Olivier addressed how the Interview of Things is revolutionizing product development and how the 3DEXPERIENCE platform enables the development of connected experiences. We also heard from Ron Emerson from Honda’s Virtual Maturation Team, who discussed the challenges manufacturing teams in the T&M industry face as auto designs become increasingly complex, and John Tomblin from NIAR and WSU, who discussed how the two associations are focused on developing the workforce of tomorrow.
