2019 customer story highlights

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing how companies around the world, of diverse sizes and industries, use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and our other applications in many individual ways. As we close out 2019, let’s look back at some of the customers we featured this year and what their stories have in common.

Sustainable engineering & manufacturing

With the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, you can reduce or even avoid physical prototypes because you can virtually test and validate models and processes. France-based Spark Racing Technologies digitally designs and simulates an electric-powered racing car. Bosch Car Multimedia accelerated development time for a head-up display without the need for physical prototypes thanks to model-based systems engineering. CenterLine (Windsor) Limited, an industrial automation technology company based in Canada, is using virtual simulation for their products and processes for optimized robot movements, plant layout, material flow and ergonomics. And Poland’s Sunreef Yachts is applying realistic simulation to create the optimal hull for their highly customized luxury catamarans.

Boosting efficiency with collaboration

Having one single source of truth is not only helping our customers boost efficiency, it also strengthens collaboration between all domains. China Railway Design Corporation uses the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to manage large-scale railway projects. With all project data in one place that is easily accessible, collaboration between multidisciplinary stakeholders is improved – leading to consistency across domains, while increasing design efficiency. Germany-based radio applications specialist digades simplified the cooperation between engineering and manufacturing teams by adopting a common tool where everybody can access all data. Faced with growing urban transportation challenges, Belarusian engineering firm SkyWay Technologies Co. aims to redefine urban mobility. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform offers them a single source of information, so all participating disciplines can work in concert to concentrate on the environmentally-friendly aspect of their transportation systems.

Driving quality & innovation

Companies are simultaneously working to reducing complexity and ensure they put out high quality products. France’s Safran Electronics & Defense develops complex technological systems in inertial navigation, optronics and embedded electronics, so ensuring quality and innovative products is of utmost importance. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform helps them with their digital transformation, and specifically improves traceability and efficiency across the entire product lifecycle. World-leading classification company Bureau Veritas adopted the platform to create digital continuity from initial specifications to transport, installation and operation of pressure equipment in a nuclear facility. Certification cycle times are accelerated and traceability is improved, without compromising quality standards. Kerenza Harris from the Southern California Institute of Architecture is using the platform on cloud to transform her students’ learning experience. These future architects are learning to take an inspired idea to a production-ready design through next-generation tools.

Being customer-centric

Today’s consumers expect to have a memorable and enjoyable experiences with products, so being customer-centric is a major focus for most companies. Honda Life Creation Center, producer of power products such as lawnmowers, now benefits from having a more intuitive way to design products in 3D and virtual reality. Collaborative applications make it easy for colleagues to share ideas to create attractive products to improve consumers’ lifestyles. Dassault Systèmes applications are helping Luxembourg insurance company LALUX Assurances transform how they build customer relationships. Aggregating all information in a single application enables LALUX to have a better understanding of their customers’ journey and each individual’s needs, which in turn improves their customers’ satisfaction. Cross-selling and identifying new sales opportunities becomes easier too. GE Healthcare wants to improves patient experience with digital innovation and technologies – and they also believe in the importance of understanding the problem before designing a solution.

2019 was a year full of inspirational customer stories across many industries – all over the world. Stay tuned for more of these stories in 2020!
