3DEXPERIENCE: your virtual classroom

The unprecedented crisis triggered by COVID-19 has impacted essentially every aspect of life. Education is no exception. Practically overnight, teachers have become students, having to learn how to move their profession fully online.

I’ve seen this in my own household. My children’s schooling is now virtual, and every day I watch both the teachers and the children transforming their processes, finding new and improved ways to approach digital education and make the students feel connected and engaged as we collectively navigate a new frontier.

Dassault Systèmes’ is a customer-centric company, and this extends to our academia clients. We have long worked with schools of all levels around the world to demonstrate the power of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for bringing new ways of learning to students of all ages. Years of collaboration with educators and students across a wide variety of institutions and disciplines has led to a flexible, tailored set of learning solutions.

The heart of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is collaboration, making it an ideal environment for a virtual classroom. It offers educators complete visibility into and control over their digital teaching resources. They are able to deliver their lessons as if they were in a physical classroom. They can organize their curriculum, and offer students a range of learning activities while clearly outlining expectations and deadlines. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform’s communities facilitate interactions among groups of students and between students and teachers; teachers have this dedicated space to communicate directly with pupils, and the students can post questions and share knowledge amongst one another. There is also functionality for instant conversation, where educators and students can exchange anytime, anywhere, in a secured way. And teachers can also get feedback on the lessons, and closely monitor and evaluate students’ progress.

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform not only allows collaboration between educators and students on any classes and projects, but also lab activities for STEM, thanks to 3D virtual worlds.

I invite you to watch this video to see how your virtual classroom can look.

In these difficult times, we at Dassault Systèmes are dedicated to doing all we can to support both business and educational continuity. We are here to help educators perform their teaching tasks in a totally connected environment, while also fueling innovation approaches to learning.
