#BreaktheBias: International Women’s Day 2022 at Dassault Systèmes

We often say diversity and gender equality are part of our DNA here at Dassault Systèmes and that statement was on display March 8 as we celebrated International Women’s Day 2022.

The day’s main event was an internal conference inviting worldwide employees to learn about commitments toward diversity and inclusion and gender equality. After an intro from VP of Corporate Equity, Marketing and Communications Victoire de Margerie, EVP and Chief People Officer Laurence Barthes shared some corporate insights.

Next, we were treated to testimonials from the RISE UP! corporate mentorship program and then got into updates from the offices around the world about how Dassault Systèmes is supporting diversity and inclusion.

The spirit of this virtual conference was to share the journey of women in 3DS, highlighting how diversity and inclusion efforts come to life in different parts of the world. The presentations and testimonies presented an inspiring picture of how Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) groups from around the world empower employees  to evolve and grow both professionally and personally within Dassault Systèmes.

Across the different GEOs, we heard an HR-focused report on 3DS in women’s lives in ASIA, about creating personal and professional networks from NAM, and about helping to break the bias from EMEAR.

In addition to the conference, there was a worldwide photo campaign to participate in the #BreakTheBias social campaign.

Beyond corporate actions, each region also celebrated International Women’s Day locally, with their own frameworks to address regional needs.

International Women’s Day, of course, is an important occasion. But for diversity and inclusion and gender equality to truly be a part of Dassault Systèmes DNA, the work also has to be done on days that don’t show up on the calendar. Here are a few other examples of 3DS investments in diversity and inclusion and gender equality:
