Meet the women leaders of 3DEXPERIENCE Lab startups

many of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab's women leaders have engineering backgrounds

Women constitute 51% of the total European population. While the female employment rate has increased to 67.3% just 34.4% of the self-employed are women and 31% of those are working as startup entrepreneurs. Overall, only 14.8% of European startup founders are female.

Women are the largest untapped entrepreneurial and leadership potential in Europe.

At the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, our main criteria to select projects that join our program are based on:

  • Positive impact on People and Society
  • Collective Intelligence
  • Early-stage of project development

15% of the entrepreneurs (leaders) we accelerate are women

66% of these women have an engineering background. The Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, an open innovation laboratory, selects the most innovative technological projects that change the world in a positive way. Women entrepreneurs are honored. By our side for a minimum of two years, we are doing our utmost to accelerate the industrial development of these innovations that provide solutions in India, Norway, France, and the United States in various fields such as health, the ocean, inclusion or music.

DAMAE MEDICAL: Led by Anais Barut, This French startup is developing a non-invasive skin imaging system that enables real-time detection and monitoring of skin cancers while avoiding biopsies. They have just announced their fundraising of 5M euros. They have started marketing their medical device DeepLive.

CLEAN SEA SOLUTIONS: This Norwegian startup led by Catharina Frostad is developing a floating system in the form of an autonomous drone that helps remove plastic waste floating in ports, canals, rivers, etc. from the surface of the sea.

BRAINSIGHT AI: This startup is led by Laina Emmanueldeveloping a diagnostic tool based on artificial intelligence to identify neuropsychiatric disorders as early as possible. These analysis tools will allow the implementation of new treatments and therapies personalized to each patient.

SYOS: Led by Pauline Eveno, this startup develops 3D printed saxophone mouthpieces and clarinets that allow each musician to enhance his or her musical style. From an algorithm, each will be a custom piece adapted to his playing technique and sound. They have already been selling internationally for 2 years. Already the musicians of Gregory Porter, Lady Gaga, Scott Page (who accompanied Pink Floyd) play with SYOS mouthpieces.

MAGIC WHEELCHAIR: This is non-profit association led by Christine Getman has the mission to support families whose children are in wheelchairs by customizing the chairs in the form of costumes bearing the effigy of their heroes to make their daily lives better. A community of volunteer makers that are creating extraordinary outfits in our FabLabs.
