Digital Orthopaedics is a startup focused on this very challenge. Their goal is to transform the planning and execution of orthopedic surgeries and treatment with innovative ideation, modeling and simulation. Specifically, they want to create personalized foot models for each patient starting with imaging and then use realistic simulation to determine the best possible treatment for that individual.

To help achieve their mission, Digital Orthopaedics applied to be part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab.  Through this program, they have access to cloud-based software solutions to meet their needs such as knowledge bases for tracking and sharing ideas, connectors to other systems to support decision making and a 3D modeling and simulation platform to develop and test surgical plans and services.
