Reimagining office spaces for the remote working era

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, EU agency Eurofound estimated that close to 40% of workers in Europe worked from home most or all of the time. Even now, as economies begin to re-open and more people return to the workplace, a significant proportion will continue to work remotely, at least some of the time. What started out as an unexpected involuntary experiment has worked out surprisingly well for both employers and employees. People appreciated the flexibility and lack of daily commute, while employers saw productivity rise and overhead costs fall.

It’s the continuation of a shift in workplace dynamics Nowy Styl saw gaining momentum even before the COVID-19 pandemic. The European leader in comprehensive furniture solutions for office and public spaces, was already working with business leaders to rethink the future of work and workplaces.

As countries and companies emerge from pandemic restrictions, Nowy Styl believes that many employers will turn to hybrid working arrangements in which they’ll support employees working from home – or at another off-site location – while transforming their offices into spaces geared more towards collaborative work. It has developed a concept around this called the Communication Hub and is working with customers across Europe to make the transition.

“Driven by recent events, we see a future where there will be a hybrid working mode as people move seamlessly between home and the office, and we’re working with many clients to redesign and renovate office spaces to suit this new way of working,” said Karolina Manikowska, head of Product Management and Workplace Research and Consulting Department director at Nowy Styl.

Constant innovation and evolution have always been key to Nowy Styl’s success and the company remains committed to staying at the forefront of the latest trends. That’s why it has invested in cutting-edge technology to connect and enhance visibility across its research and development processes, effectively manage its extensive product portfolio and empower its people to embrace forward-thinking product development and manufacturing methods.
