SparkCharge is swimming with the sharks

A few months ago in recognition of Earth Day, we talked about three green projects that are changing the world. One of these is SparkCharge.

The automobile industry has long been working on innovative approaches to harness renewable energy. While consumer interest in electric vehicles (EVs) continues to grow, some consumers are holding back due to a concern about running out of power when out driving. A group of innovators recognized this and founded SparkCharge. Their modular, portable charging unit allows EVs to charge anywhere, quickly; in less than 20 minutes, an EV can be sufficiently charged for a full day’s journey.

In 2019, SparkCharge joined Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Lab program, our open innovation laboratory that helps nurture and empower disruptive projects. Participating in this program gives SparkCharge access to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud for design and simulation, allowing them to optimize each stage of their design, engineering, manufacturing and marketing process. The software helps speeds the design-to-manufacturing process by seamlessly connecting SparkCharge’s design studio to manufacturers’ machines and to visually assess if each designed part is manufactureable. This saves time, effort and cost, cycle after cycle.

Now, the SparkCharge team has an amazing opportunity: they are appearing on the US television show Shark Tank, where entrepreneurs have the chance to secure business deals that could make them millionaires.

Will the sharks make a deal to help scale up SparkCharge’s ultra-fast charging technology for EVs? If you’re able to watch US television, tune into your ABC station on Friday, October 16 at 8pm ET.
