It’s no secret that big data, sensors, mobility, new materials and other technologies fundamentally impacting global society.  Educational and research programs must be reconsidered so that future generations can access the latest technological innovations and also shift to a new way of learning and thinking – one that goes beyond traditional paper-based books and whiteboards to a digital, realistic representation of the physical world.

Dassault Systèmes so firmly believes in this that in 2015 we founded La Fondation Dassault Systèmes to transform the future of education and research by harnessing the powerful learning and discovery capabilities of 3D technology and virtual universes. La Fondation was exclusive to Europe until just a few weeks ago when a second entity opened to the United States.

3D content, technology and simulation applications have long been used by industry for the design, engineering and manufacturing of most of the products society relies on today.  La Fondation provides grants, digital content and skillsets in virtual technologies to education and research initiatives at academic institutions, research institutes, museums, associations, cultural centers and other general interest organizations to expand access and encourage interest in STEM.
