Driving vehicle innovation toward the mobility of the future
We are extremely excited to launch our 3dsMobility Blog, brought to you by the Transportation & Mobility team at Dassault Systèmes. In the 3dsMobility Blog we’ll share information on a variety of levels about something we are passionate about – transportation and mobility. Topics will range from technical knowledge, innovative case studies, and industry solutions to what’s new and fun stories.
Here’s what you can look forward to in the 3dsMobility Blog:
- People – connect to others like yourself – influencers, leaders, ‘movers and shakers’ in the transportation and mobility industry
- Know-how – insight into cutting-edge technology that is shaping the future of transportation
- What’s working – success stories on leading innovators
- Car enthusiasts – fun facts and stories about favorite cars, historical information, and statistics
- Events – information on additional resources for transportation and mobility
How can we take things further?
The auto industry is driven by a number of powerful imperatives that reflect our desire for aesthetics and performance, while also recognizing the need for affordability and minimal environmental impact. An industry that not so long ago was generously using steel and fossil fuels is embracing lighter metals and composites that increase strength and reduce weight, while frugal, electric and hybrid vehicles are reducing emissions on our roads.
Automotive manufacturers everywhere are using the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform and INDUSTRY SOLUTION EXPERIENCES to explore new materials and processes that may mean tomorrow’s cars are not only lighter and stronger but also inherently kinder to the environment – even after they’ve reached the end of their useful life. Process and technology advances may mean naturally biodegradable resources like algae can become viable and sustainable raw materials for future automotive components.
We hope you’ll be a regular visitor to this site. As 3dsMobility takes shape and begins to grow, we look forward to your ongoing participation and input.
