NAFEMS is the International Association for the Engineering Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Community. A not-for-profit organization established in 1983, they focus on the practical application of numerical engineering simulation techniques such the Finite Element Method for Structural Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Multibody Simulation.
Every year in mid-June NAFEMS holds their World Congress event. This year, there were approximately 630 individuals from over 30 countries around the world gathered in Stockholm, Sweden. SIMULIA was excited to be the platinum sponsor for the event.
In June 2017, 15 SIMULIAns traveled to Stockholm, Sweden for the NAFEMS World Congress 2017. NWC17 was NAFEMS’ largest event to date, attracting 630 simulation users from 43 countries and representing 400 different organizations. 340 presentations were delivered, 25 of which came from SIMULIA.
As proud Platinum Sponsor for the 6th year in a row, SIMULIA had a fantastic booth where people could experience our Living Heart, Crash Test and Additive Manufacturing experiences on the zSpaces and play with our soon-to-be-released FEA apps for kids: SimKrush and SIMKraft. Attendees also talked simulation with our experts at the booth. SIMULIA had experts in FEA, optimization, durability, electromagnetics, multibody simulation, democratization, additive manufacturing and the 3DEXPERIENCE, all of whom were kept busy with continuous traffic at the booth.
SIMULIA gave 25 presentations, including 2 sessions dedicated to ‘Real World Additive Manufacturing’ and ‘Next Generation Engineering on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.’ In particular, the Additive Manufacturing session was very popular with over 90 attendees.
