Associate Professor of Biophysical Engineering at University of Southampton
Georges Limbert is an Associate Professor of Biophysical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton and also holds an Honorary Associate Professor position in the Department of Human Biology at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
His current academic research and consulting activities for Fortune 500/FTSE 100 and SME companies focuses on the constitutive modelling of biological and engineering materials with special interest on skin biophysics, biomedical and electroactive polymers, the non-linear mechanics of thin biological structures and computational techniques for biophysical applications. His research is supported by world-leading organisations operating in the consumer goods, cosmetic and military sectors including Procter & Gamble, L’Oréal, US Air Force and Rolls Royce.
