Looking Back: Year of SIMULIA Champions

As the year draws to a close, many initiatives and programs are also nearing their end, but we also look forward to a new year and the beginning of many new things. In 2020, a new program began: the SIMULIA Champions program, which recognized experts from across the world who use simulation to advance their careers…and use their careers to advance simulation.

We introduced the 2020 Champions last spring and followed up with a weekly blog post interviewing Champions and learning about their jobs, interests, and their work with simulation, particularly SIMULIA tools. You can find all of the interviews here. We introduced 30 Champions, coming from industries ranging from aerospace to electromagnetics to manufacturing and more.

Eight of our Champions presented at the 2020 virtual Global 3DEXPERIENCE Modeling & Simulation Conference (ModSim) from the following companies:

  • 3M
  • Boeing
  • Airbus
  • Collins Aerospace
  • Continental Automotive
  • Ford Motor Company
  • Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology
  • Volvo Trucks North America

Missed the conference? You can see the presentations and watch videos by becoming a member of the ModSim Community. The 2020 Champions also played an active role in the SIMULIA Community, sharing their ideas and experience and interacting with community members.

In early 2021 we will introduce the 2021 SIMULIA Champions, our upcoming class of 30-40 simulation experts. If you’re interested in becoming a future SIMULIA Champion, learn more here. As in 2020, we will continue to share our Champions’ simulation journeys through this blog, as well as potentially going more in-depth with some of their stories in REVEAL Magazine.

Thank you for following along and getting to know our 2020 Champions. We look forward to bringing you more fascinating stories of simulation users from around the world next year.
