Webinar Replay: Optimizing a Tactical Mine Schedule Through Simulation

Together with our sister brand GEOVIA, we will be hosting a series of webinars in 2018, the first two of which will focus on simulation and optimization.  We recently held the first webinar, Optimizing a Tactical Mine Schedule Through Simulation, discussing how to optimize a tactical schedule through simulation using Isight, specifically optimization by iteration, automation of workflows, varying inputs, tracking and optimizing for any number of inputs, visualizing and analyzing the results of thousands of schedules, and selecting the best option based on assessment of results and risks. Check out the replay below and stay tuned for the next webinar, Advanced Simultaneous Optimization!

We recently held the first of our GEOVIA Innovation Webinars, Optimizing a Tactical Mine Schedule Through Simulation which was presented by Chawki Jreige.

Chawki is a Senior Solution Consultant with GEOVIA at Dassault Systèmes and a MineSched expert. Based in Vancouver, Chawki is a Mining Engineer with significant experience in both open pit and underground mines, having previously worked at Vale’s Inco Copper Cliff North Mine.

During the webinar, he touched on the following:

  • What is SIMULIA Isight?
  • Example Use Cases, such as dates for bringing pit phases online to reduce mill feed deviation and positioning waste piles to reduce material rehandling and haulage
  • Demo
  • Summary
